- Sub: Re: Books on C++
-
- I did spend thanksgiving weekend reading C++ Primer by Stanley Lippman. It was
- really enjoyable and I could read continuously for four hours. That is
- something considering I have short attention span. C++ Primer does not assume
- expertise in the C language. The examples are good and very readable. Best
- part I liked are the appendices about C++ I/O library and the future directions
- for C++. I/O library is important to me because I use C++ for standalone code
- and I cannot use the stream.h supplied with C++ compiler. I plan to write my
- own version of C++ tailered to my requirement. I now have a book for myself.
